As an assistant to American photographer Mona Kuhn, Wonho Lee became interested in photography as a medium that is both free and restrictive, honest and disingenuous.

He is one of the many who seek to find their identity along the lines of ambiguity.

Through photography, he continues his efforts to capture and record the inner turmoil and boredom of human beings from a certain distance.

Wonho Lee seeks to explore and understand images that are not necessarily bright even if they are called ‘bright’, and not necessarily dark even if they are called ‘dark’.
