Sea the wall 7, 2022
After completing a major in fashion design at the International Fashion Design College, and subsequently establishing the graphic design fashion brand ROKKAN, she engaged in roles as a lead actor and producer in documentary films and broadcasting. Currently, she works as a collage and media writer. Influenced by American culture through her childhood experience of watching the first Star Wars movie and the contemporary Hollywood New Cinema movement, she creates artworks that reinterpret American culture from the 1960s and 70s, as well as addressing current social phenomena. Her works encompass a wide range of topics including politics, society, design, fashion, and the environment.
The series titled “SEA THE WALL” is a collection that merges minimalist, brutalist architecture with images of waves from that era. It presents a striking visual where the sea is depicted alongside the concept of a human selfishness acting like a nail, piercing through the immense wall that is the sea, causing the flowing water to transform into a natural disaster. This concept raises awareness about the environment.
